The works by Sabine pay homage to the third dimension; her pieces come alive in the space between paintings and sculptures. She combines various materials and techniques to provide a multidimensional visual experience. Her art work can often be identified by repurposed combined materials, creating interesting structures, textures, and surfaces. She takes heavy inspiration from the vast variety of designs created by nature. Other important sources of inspiration include architectural elements, educational journeys, and cross-cultural experiences in Europe, Asia, America, and North Africa. Her “hanging sculptures” are the result of this overlap.

Over the last two decades it has become Sabine's mission to give overlooked everyday items new meaning within her work, showcasing their inherent beauty. She hopes this series featuring repurposed material will encourage her viewers to be more aware of their daily surroundings and more mindful towards the often disposable world we live in.
